Minchy's

Minchy's was started in 1993 by Sonia and Girish Minocha, whose family had been food traders for two earlier generations. It began in a small unit on the highway outside Shimla, making 200 litres of juice a day across four drinks.

The company set out to process fruit and vegetable surpluses from Himachal Pradesh. It now reports a daily production capacity of about 20 tonnes and more than 200 products.

The range spans family-recipe pickles, chutneys, jams, squashes, crushes, honey and vinegars, along with Himalayan ingredients such as sea buckthorn, chichri honey and rhododendron. A separate Qi line carries pickles, preserves and honeys.
