The MasterChow story
Before MasterChow, co-founders Vidur Kataria and Sidhanth Madan ran Wok Me, an Asian quick-service restaurant they opened in 2016. It grew to six outlets before Covid shutdowns and rising rents forced a rethink.
The brand says MasterChow began when restaurant customers kept asking to take the sauces home. It launched with sauces and later added noodles, chilli oils and other pantry staples for cooking Asian dishes at home.
Chef Ranveer Brar works with the brand, and according to Kataria they have co-created sauces together.
Inc42 describes MasterChow as a ready-to-cook Asian cuisine brand selling noodles, stir-fry sauces and dips, competing with large FMCG companies and with D2C brands such as Yu Foods and Veeba.
